Membership

The DTRDA can provide you with all the necessary training, guidance and support to enable you to achieve your goal of becoming a dance therapist. Whether you are just starting out on a dance therapy career or you are an established dance therapist, the DTRDA can offer you, through its qualified dance therapy and membership services, training and advice enabling you to develop your knowledge and skills.

Members must be at least 18 years of age and must not have been convicted of a criminal offense or have a pending criminal conviction.

Professional

Those who have been prepared through graduate training or equivalent and received their Dance Therapy qualification. Full voting privileges.

Amateur

All students applying for Membership of DTRDA verified by a student identification card or letter from instructor. No voting privileges.

Those who hold professional degrees in the health care field; Psychology; Arts Therapy Practitioners; Dancers; Educators – those who teach dance and/or other creative arts modalities; Somatic Practitioners; Artistic professions such as theater, music and art in general, and other similar degrees; Others – those who want to support the dance therapy profession. No voting privileges.

Institutions

Open to institutions, schools, organizations, dancetherapy centers, foundations.
