Purposes The purposes of the Association are: i. The study and approach of the method of dance therapy from different scientific and artistic disciplines for its development. ii. The promotion of new perspectives and methods with the collaboration of professionals from different scientific and artistic disciplines for the alternative and correct treatment of physical, psychological, spiritual and social problems. iii. The treatment of dance athletes through the prism of dance therapy with advice and methods from all scientists and artists who approach and study dance therapy. iv. The promotion of the contribution of dance therapy to the public health of all the countries. v. The active participation in the general social problems of the countries by promoting dance therapy as a way of addressing them. xi. The cultivation of communication and solidarity relations between the members of the Association. xii. The creation of working groups per Regions of the countries with the aim of submitting comprehensive proposals for the scientific development of the members of the association and for the legal assertion of the rights of the members. viii. The study, protection, support and promotion of the professional interests of the members and their professional identity. ix. The delimitation and protection of the profession of dance therapist, by drafting and supervising the implementation of a code of ethics. Its duties and operation are defined by internal regulations. x. Cultivating relations of communication and solidarity among the members of the Association. xi. The creation of working groups per region of the countries with the aim of submitting comprehensive proposals for the scientific development of the members of the association but also for the legal claim of the rights of the members. xii. The representation of the members if and when necessary, in consultation with competent bodies. xiii. Promoting the requests and needs of members to society.
